Scope of Work:
Interior Demolition, Selective Demolition, Historical Preservation
This interior strip-out of a 16-story historical courthouse landmark was located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building exterior was not to be compromised, so an interior shaft was devised for the removal of debris and later used for construction material ingress. A series of aligned holes were cut through 15 floors of the building and later replaced. Extensive protection was performed on areas that contained irreplaceable marble and granite walls where demolition operations occurred.
