Location: Hebron, KY (CVG Airport)
Scope of Work:
Asbestos Abatement, Structural Demolition, Contaminated Soil Removal, Excavation
This turn-key project entailed demolition of the former DHL Package Sorting Facility located at the Cincinnati/Northern KY Airport. Work involved complete demolition of six (6) major buildings totaling approximately 220,000 SF as well as demolition of associated guard houses, outbuildings and other support structures. Ancillary work by O’Rourke included preparatory asbestos survey and abatement, coordination of utility disconnects, construction and subsequent removal of a temporary AOA fence, remediation of low level PCB impacted soil, grading and restoration of the site to create an area ready for future “Greenfield” redevelopment. All work was completed without disruption or impact to directly adjacent airport operations and ongoing flight traffic.
