O’Rourke also had the challenge of renovating a building over 100 years old that had limited information on the existing structure.  The building had been updated multiple times and the west side of the building was located very close to an existing roadway that was to remain open during construction, which  added to the challenges.

The renovation of this historic three-story building involved demolition of the entire interior structure while the existing exterior masonry walls remained in place to be reused. This meant that temporary wall bracing was required to support the walls against wind loads during construction.
